Does learning at home sometimes feel harder than it should?
You might be wondering:
- Why does my child struggle to sit still and focus?
- Why do they seem to forget what they’ve learned?
- How can I help when they’re falling behind?
- Why does learning at home so often end in frustration?
- Does learning always have to look like worksheets and schoolwork?
- How can I support my child’s confidence while still helping them build important skills?
Or maybe you’re simply wondering:
“Am I doing enough?”
You want your child to build the skills they need – but you also want them to grow up believing they can learn.
If you’ve asked yourself any of these questions, this workshop is for you.
What if learning didn’t always have to look like school?
Play isn’t the opposite of learning.
Movement isn’t a distraction from learning.
And a child who isn’t sitting quietly at a table isn’t necessarily a child who isn’t learning.
In this workshop, we’ll explore how play, movement, curiosity and connection can support meaningful learning while still building the foundational skills children need.
You’ll discover how to look at learning through a different lens – and leave with practical ideas you can begin using at home.
What you’ll explore:
🌿Seeing the learner behind the struggle
Why a child’s behaviour, avoidance or disengagement may be telling us something about how they learn.
🌿When more isn’t always more
Why adding more worksheets, practice and pressure isn’t always the answer – and what we can consider instead.
🌿Why play can be real learning
How play can support meaningful learning across reading, writing, maths and more.
🌿Learning isn’t one-size fits all
How to think about your child’s individual strengths, needs and developmental stages.
🌿Practical ideas you can use at home
Walk away with ideas for making learning more engaging, meaningful and connected to your child’s interests.
You’ll recieve:
✔️60-minute workshop replay
✔️Practical downloadable workbook
✔️Real examples you can adapt at home
Hi, I’m Tess
I’m an educator and tutor who has worked alongside children with a wide range of learning needs and styles.
Over time, I’ve noticed something again and again:
When children begin to believe they are capable learners, everything can start to change.
I focus on helping children reconnect with learning through confidence, curiosity, movement, play and approaches that meet them where they are.

I created Growing Confident Learners because I want parents to feel more confident supporting their children – not because they need to become teachers, but because they know their child better than anyone.
This workshop is for you if…
🌿 You’re a parent who wants to support your child’s learning without constant battles.
🌿 Your child learns better through movement, play or hands-on experiences.
🌿You’re homeschooling or learning at home and wondering whether you’re doing enough.
🌿 Your child is struggling with confidence or engagement.
🌿 You’re tired of feeling like learning always has to mean sitting down and completing another worksheet.
🌿 You want practical ideas – but you also want to understand why they work.
